(...) we libertarians IMO ought to define ourselves as simply opposing the initiation of violent force against innocent people--aggression. We should *not* run around saying "liberty is our highest value" b/c that just gives an opening to conservatards to say "oh, we also believe in liberty, but it's just one of 'many values' for us. we are not so simplistic." It lets them avoid saying "we believe in aggression in some cases--you have to break some eggs to make an omelet".
