If you look at the way the term natural is used in our culture, it's really wierd. Because it's not like there's some reason why natural is good and almost everybody assumes that natural is good (...) And, you know, man in the state of nature lived a pretty grim life. (...) I think you can plausibly argue that what's going on with environmentalism really is a religion and that's what it's driving force is, but doesn't get recognized as such.
